Creating Your First Expert

An Expert is your personal AI assistant powered by the content you add to it. Each Expert can answer questions based on the videos, PDFs, and audio you've uploaded.

What is an Expert?

Experts use RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technology to search your content library and provide accurate, cited answers. Think of an Expert as a searchable brain trained on your specific content.

Creating an Expert

1. From your Dashboard, click "Create New Expert"
2. Give your Expert a descriptive name (e.g., "React Tutorial Library", "Marketing Course Notes")
3. Optionally add a description to help you remember what content this Expert contains
4. Click "Create"

Adding Content

Once created, add content to your Expert:

• Paste a YouTube video URL or video ID
• Upload a video file from your computer
• Upload PDF documents
• Import an entire YouTube channel

Content is automatically transcribed and indexed (1-3 minutes per video). Videos with existing YouTube captions are processed instantly and free of charge.

Chatting with Your Expert

1. Navigate to your Expert from the Dashboard
2. Click the "Chat" tab
3. Ask questions in natural language
4. Your Expert will respond with answers based on your content, including citations and timestamps

The more content you add, the more knowledgeable your Expert becomes.
