Supported Content Formats

SageTube supports multiple content types to build comprehensive knowledge bases for your Experts.

YouTube Videos

Add YouTube content by:

• Video URL: Paste any youtube.com or youtu.be link
• Video ID: Enter the 11-character video ID directly
• Channel Import: Import entire channels (within your plan limits: Starter 3 channels, Creator 20 channels, Enterprise unlimited)

Both public and unlisted videos work. Private videos cannot be accessed.

Uploaded Video Files

Upload video files directly from your computer:

Supported formats:

• MP4 (recommended)
• MOV
• AVI
• WebM
• MKV

File size limits:

• Starter: Up to 500 MB per file
• Creator: Up to 2 GB per file
• Enterprise: Up to 5 GB per file

Uploaded videos are transcribed using the same AI speech-to-text technology as YouTube videos without captions.

PDF Documents

Upload PDF files for text-based content:

Processing:

• Text-based PDFs are extracted instantly
• Scanned PDFs use OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
• Cost: $0.05 per page

File size limit: Up to 100 MB per PDF

PDFs are indexed page-by-page, and your Expert will cite specific page numbers when referencing them.

Audio Files

While SageTube is optimized for video, you can upload audio-only content by converting it to a supported video format first. Many free tools can convert MP3/WAV to MP4.

File Quality Recommendations

For best transcription results:

• Clear audio with minimal background noise
• Consistent volume levels
• Single speaker or well-separated voices
