Understanding Citations

Your Expert includes citations in every response, showing you exactly where information came from.

What Are Citations?

Citations are source references that show which content your Expert used to answer your question. Every response includes links to the original sources.

Citation Format

Citations appear as clickable references within or at the end of responses:

For videos:

• Video title
• Timestamp (e.g., "at 3:45")
• Click to jump directly to that moment

For PDFs:

• Document name
• Page number (e.g., "page 12")
• Click to view that page

For text content:

• Content title
• Section or segment reference

How to Use Citations

Verify Information: Click citations to review the original context and confirm accuracy.

Explore Further: Citations show you where to learn more about a topic beyond the AI summary.

Find Related Content: If one source is helpful, explore other segments from the same video or document.

Multiple Sources

When your Expert combines information from multiple sources, you'll see several citations:

"The installation requires Node.js 16 or higher [Video: Setup Guide, 2:30] and PostgreSQL 12+ [PDF: Requirements Doc, page 3]."

This shows the Expert synthesized information from two different sources.

Citation Accuracy

Citations are generated based on semantic similarity to your question. Occasionally, a citation might reference a segment that's contextually related but not a direct answer. Always review the source to verify.

No Citations Available

If your Expert responds without citations, it may mean:

• Your content library doesn't contain information about that topic
• The question is too vague to match specific content
• Try rephrasing your question or adding more relevant content

Citations ensure transparency and help you build trust in your Expert's responses.
